Celebrity Home Series: Naomi Judd's Peaceful Valley

Just south of Nashville right off the Natchez Trace Parkway lies 1,000 acres of Tennessee countryside owned by none other than the famous trio of Judd women...Naomi, Wynonna, and Ashley.  Since purchasing this Leiper's Fork paradise in 1989, Naomi Judd refers to her little slice of heaven as simply "Peaceful Valley."  And with its gently rolling hills, still lakes, and quiet solitude, it's easy to see why.

For Naomi, her 8,000 sq. ft., 20 room home (located, of course, in Peaceful Valley) is a "sacred space", a place where she can exhale and be in tune with nature.  But that's not all.  Featured recently on HGTV's Celebrities at Home, the house is a custom-built southern retreat just made for entertaining.  From the moment you walk into the open-concept floor plan, you will see a luxurious Great Room, which is encased in beautiful, rich wood paneling and topped with a ceiling made of real copper.  Farther back,  you will find a state-of-the-art media room where Naomi and loved ones gather every other week in their pajamas to watch movies and eat popcorn.

Continuing on, you will come upon a very bright and airy kitchen with lots of crisp white cabinets and countertops and a spacious, round dining table.  Across the hall lies an office, the only place in the house Naomi allows anything to do with show business.  Awards, memorabilia, photos, Grammys, and all kinds of other awards grace the walls and shelves, leaving very little empty space.

Sure, Naomi's home in Peaceful Valley boasts many more luxuries and ammenities than most homes around (elevator, kitchenette in master bathroom, etc...), but for her it really is all about being comfortable and happy and being surrounded by her closest friends and family.  And that is what life is all about.
